Liberia

We got through our 10 hour flight to Ghana, there we waited for 5 hours until we could catch our flight to Liberia. It's hot here, a little too hot. We were greeted by many people from one of the first schools built here in Monrovia. We recieved many hugs from the school nurse and her sister. We loaded our family and all our luggage into 3 cars and were on our way to the hotel. We went through some crazy car rides to get here, nearly avoiding a couple head on collisions. We are all very exhausted from our jouney over and can't wait to get some sleep. But before I end I have to share an experience, in the cars on our way to the hotel we passed a group of little boys, about 5 to 6 years old, playing by the street. One boy was sitting on a rock and as we passed he peered into the window and made eye contact with me. He grinned and raised his hand to wave to me. The car passed to quickly and I wasn't given the chance to return his friendly gesture. I didn't wave back....I really wish I could have.
